Slide 1

This workshop involves creating a wall with the participants using primarily discarded materials selected by themselves. This wall will feature stencil drawings depicting silhouettes of children playing with toys made from recycled objects, which will also be brought to the workshop by the participants. The underlying idea is to raise children's awareness about issues related to material reuse, motivating them to think, execute, and take care of projects from start to finish.

Fiumani (aka MANI) is an Italian designer and artist, born in 1987, in Loreto. He has been working as a designer, visual artist and street artist since 2002. His wide range of influences, mixing post-punk, street art, tattoos, custom bikes, skateboarding, and surfing helped him create his own and unique imaginary and lo-fi aesthetic. His DIY approach is based on a skateboarding/punk rock root, which gives him a need to talk about social causes with a sense of humour and an emotive approach. His raw strokes reflect his impulsivity and the urgent need to communicate thoughts and messages.
