What is missing in the neighbourhood? This is a question that triggers a wide range of answers – among them, and often repeated: places to sit, spaces to gather, shade. In addition to helping mitigate this absence through a creative exercise in furniture design, the workshop led by designer João Xará at Associação Bairro da Quinta Grande (PER 7) was a process of reflection on this very absence, highlighting the inequalities between this territory and other areas of the city of Lisbon.
