Slide 1

This workshop aims to create, in a common outdoor space within the neighbourhood, a structure that protects from the sun, producing a shade that is very useful for the residents' events and collective activities. Using obsolete, damaged or unwanted pieces of clothing, a patchwork awning will be created, involving participants and the community. How can we mix and match the patchwork? What stories can we create? How can we talk about our community? How can I represent myself in this big collective quilt? These and other questions are an integral part of the workshop, which not only seeks to solve a collective need, but also promote the celebration of memories, family and community.
