In this workshop for the younger public, artist Gil Ferrão challenged the participants to create interactive objects from the reuse of other objects. Taking the context of the neighbourhood and the experiences, needs and desires of its inhabitants as the motto, games and play were promoted that explored the sensorial side of manual and direct work with materials. The result: a playground where we also talk about the objects that surround us and their possible lives.
Gil Ferrão is an artist who lives and works in Aguiar, Évora. In his work he explores the union between the conscious and unconscious, where different materials and supports can coexist. He describes his works as experiences that he likes to take out of museums and share with strangers. He exhibits regularly and has participated in artist residencies since 2016. He is represented by Artemis Gallery, Lisbon.
