In this workshop for a younger audience, artist Gil Ferrão
will challenge participants to create interactive objects by reusing other
objects. Taking on the context of the neighbourhood and the experiences, needs
and desires of its inhabitants as a central theme, games and recreational
activities will be promoted in order to explore the sensorial aspect of working
manually and directly with the materials. The result will be a playground where
conversations about the objects that surround us and their possible lives. will
also take place.
Gil Ferrão is an artist who lives and works in Aguiar,
Évora. In his work he explores the union between the conscious and unconscious,
where different materials and supports can coexist. He describes his works as
experiences that he likes to take out of museums and share with strangers. He
exhibits regularly and has participated in artist residencies since 2016. He is
represented by Artemis Gallery, Lisbon.
