Cardboard furniture was the theme and main medium of this workshop led by architecture atelier FURO at the PER11 Residents’Association. The aim was to introduce the young participants to some fundamental notions and techniques of working with cardboard, leading to the construction of furniture such as tables, chairs or benches.
Lisbon based architecture studio FURO was founded in 2014 by António Louro. It develops both traditional architectural work (designing and rehabilitating buildings) and experimental projects (including temporary constructions, exhibitions, pavilions, performances and other ephemeral structures). The studio maintains long standing collaborations with institutions, brands and studios such as MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, Belluard Bollwerk Art Festival and Underdogs gallery, among others.
